An optician, or dispensing optician, is a technical practitioner who designs, fits and dispenses corrective lenses for the correction of a person's vision. Opticians use a variety of equipment to fit, adjust and dispense eyewear, contact lenses and low vision aids.

Salary: $21,725 - $48,843

Education: As a prerequisite for registration in any province of Canada opticians are required to complete a course at one of the NACOR accredited teaching institutions. Persons from an international jurisdiction may apply to a provincial regulatory agency for an assessment of equivalency of their education. Such applications are not unreasonably denied.

I don’t think I would like to become an optician because they recive low pay and it’s not really an interest to me.
