Final Part 1 of 2
Class/Self Evaluation

What did I like about this class?
What I like about this class is the time i get to spend learning new things like new medical or non-medical career pathway's that I have learned about, and the student success statements I have learned in my previous lessons. But somethings I didn't like about the class is that some of my class member's would never stop fooling around making the rest of the class stay in after school making me late for any discussions at my band practice I attend too. And I don't like the time given when having to create a new post because when i am doing my reflection it turns out i only have 2 or 1 more minute to complete my reflection after it was assigned to us no longer than 3 minutes ago.
Suggestions to improve the class
I would like more time for completing my posts.
Did I try My very best in this class?
I believe I have because i have completed all my assignments
Am I committed to being a CTR student?
I am very commited to being a CTR student 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

My IDP was about obesity. And my experience was stressful because two of my members did not show up and only me and two other friends made it. My part in the IDP was Prevention.

"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than
anybody else expects
of you. Never excuse
yourself"

Henry Ward Beecher

I believe that this statement means that you can never blame anyone else other than your self. For example if you fail a test you cannot put the blame on the teacher, you can only blame it on yourself for not trying your best.

Healthcare Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities: Health care administrators manage the administrative tasks of hospitals, medical laboratories, physician practices and other health care facilities. In small offices, they may be the only administrators answering phones, filing patient records, issuing and paying bills, and processing insurance claims. In addition, new workers may only perform tasks while under the supervision of more experienced staff.

Salary: $31,415 - $104,939

Education: Many higher-level health care administration executives have a master's degree in a field such as public health or business, hospital or nursing administration. Dental Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: Dental assistants assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) in providing more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treatment, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding suction devices, exposing dental radiographs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns. Dental operators can focus more time on the procedure; the dental assistant then effectively becomes the operator's extra hands.Dental assistants should be distinguished from dental hygienists, who usually have a higher level of training and expertise.
Salary:$22,064-$43,497
Education: The Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association accredits dental assisting school programs, of which there are over 200 in the United States. To become a Certified Dental Assistant, or CDA, dental assistants must take the DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) CDA examination after they have completed an accredited dental assisting program, or have at least two years of on-the-job training as a dental assistant. Some dentists are willing to pay a dental assistant-in-training that has a good attitude and work

Dentist
Duties and Responsibilities: In China as well as France, the first people to perform dentistry were barbers. They have been categorized into 2 distinct groups: guild of barbers and lay barbers. The first group, the Guild of Barbers, was created to distinguish more educated and qualified dental surgeons from lay barbers. Guild barbers were trained to do complex surgeries. The second group, the lay barbers, was qualified to perform regular hygienic services such as shaving and tooth extraction as well as basic surgery. However, in 1400 France made decrees prohibiting lay barbers from practicing all types of surgery. In Germany as well as France from 1530 to 1575 publications completely devoted to dentistry were being published. Ambrose Pare, often known as the Father of Surgery, published his own work about the proper maintenance and treatment of teeth. Ambrose Pare was a French barber surgeon who performed dental care for multiple French monarchs. He is often credited with having raised the status of barber surgeons.
Salary: $77,639 - $233,639

Education: All dentists in the U.S. must graduate from high school and complete required courses such as general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and statistics/calculus. While nearly all dental schools require at least a bachelor's degree (4 years of college coursework), a select few may consider admitting exceptional students after only 3 years of college, although this is very rare. To apply, students must take the Dental Admissions Test (DAT). It is recommended by the American Dental Association that students take the DAT a year before admission.[8] Admission to dental school is competitive, and is generally determined based on factors such as GPA, DAT scores, research, recommendation letters, and extracurricular activities. To become a licensed dentist, one must then complete an accredited dental school curriculum and successfully master all clinical competencies and national board exams. Most dental school curricula require four years of training, however, some states require dentists to complete a post graduate residency program as well (e.g. New York). In the U.S., a newly graduated dentist is then awarded the DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery, degree or the DMD, Doctor of Dental Medicine, degree depending on the dental school attended. The degrees are equivalent. A newly graduated dentist can then pursue further specialty residency training ranging from 2 to 6 years in one of the recognized specialties. Additionally, dentists are required to participate in continuing education where they attend lectures to learn of recent developments, practice new methods, and earn continuing education hours throughout their career.
