Firefighter
Duties and Responsibilities: A firefighter  is a rescuer extensively trained in firefighting, primarily to extinguish hazardous fires that threaten property and civilian or natural populations, and to rescue people from dangerous situations, like collapsed or burning buildings or crashed vehicles. In some countries, they are also trained in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and operate ambulances in addition to being a firefighter.
Salary: $25,645 - $72,167

Education: fire fighters go on to earn degrees in fire science in order to advance in their careers. New hires must complete intensive training programs, usually at a state or local fire training academy. Some departments require their recruits to participate in apprenticeship programs that may include college courses. In addition to passing pre-employment written, physical and medical exams, fire fighters are usually required to earn certification as emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Student Success Statement

"A good name is ratter to be chosen that great riches"
Proverbs 22:1
Healthcare Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities: Health care administrators manage the administrative tasks of hospitals, medical laboratories, physician practices and other health care facilities. In small offices, they may be the only administrators answering phones, filing patient records, issuing and paying bills, and processing insurance claims. Larger facilities may have enough work to assign a single task to inexperienced administrators. For example, an administrator may only handle processing patient payments. In addition, new workers may only perform tasks while under the supervision of more experienced staff.

Salary: $31,415 - $104,939

Education: Many higher-level health care administration executives have a master's degree in a field such as public health or business, hospital or nursing administration. A bachelor's degree is often sufficient for entry-level positions, or for employment with smaller facilities when coupled with relevant health care experience.
